Rotation and Translation

In terms of Geometry...What is a rotation and a translation?

  1. Rotation is turning a figure to its side and translation is sliding a figure.

  2. Rotation means to turning around the center. Translation means moving.

  3. Rotation is rotating a figure on a graph, rather than mirroring it, you are rotating the shape.
Translation is moving the shape to a new quadrant but instead of mirroring it's almost like you are sliding it over.

  4. Rotation is when you move the shape 365* without changing the figure. Translation is when you try making a copy of the figure.

  6. rotation is rotation a figure on the graph.Translation is moving the shape so when you use the mirror is when you move it.
