There's alot of stuff that I know about them but the major properties that stick in my head are that they both have 4 sides, the square has all equal sides and a rectangle has different length sides, they both have parallel lines, both squares and rectangles have 90 degree angles.
They both have 4 sides. A rectangle can be a square but a square can't be a rectangle. They both have parallel lines.
